RPO is a by-product of crude-oil refining, so its price follows five main drivers. As an exporter supplying from Jebel Ali and Mersin since 2011, RAHA GROUP weighs these factors in every weekly offer:

• Crude oil & base-oil prices. RPO typically trades at a discount to SN-series base oils; when Brent rises, aromatic extract follows within 2–4 weeks.
• Packing. A new steel drum adds $30/MT over a second-hand drum; flexitank is the cheapest option for buyers with bulk handling.
• Grade and aromatic content. Treated grades (TDAE, RAE) that meet EU REACH limits on polycyclic aromatics command a premium over standard aromatic RPO.
• Loading port and freight. FOB Mersin runs higher than FOB Jebel Ali because of regional supply, port costs and inland logistics — but it shortens transit for European buyers.
• Currency movements in importing countries (TRY, AED, INR) shift effective demand even when the USD price is flat.
