Bitumen Penetration Grade 80/100 is a standard penetration grade Bitumen usually used as a Paving Grade Bitumen suitable for road construction and for the production of asphalt pavements with superior properties. This grade of Bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses.
Bitumen 80/100 is one of the most used bitumen grades and basic material for all alternative bituminous products.

Properties of Bitumen 80/100
Bitumen Penetration Grade 80/100 is a bit softer than bitumen 60/70 and selected carefully from the distillate of crude oil. Penetration grade bitumen 80/100 has penetration between 80~100 desi-millimeter and the softening point between 42 ~ 50C. The penetration grade bitumen 80/100 has a thermoplastic property which is like as synthetic resin material which gets softer with heating and hardens when cooled. This grade of bitumen 80/100 has very strong viscosity compare to other grades.
